After a while, you may start to change the way you do things. You may not be as active and this can actually make matters worse because your muscles weaken. You need a strong back and core in order to prevent back pain, so being active is one of the best things that you can do for yourself.

Visiting the chiropractor can help you to get a lot of your mobility back. After sitting for extended periods of time, your spine begins to compress. It’s proof that gravity works because the spine starts to sit on top of the lower spine and this can start to cause a lot of pain. It can limit the amount you move without having to wince in pain.

Sitting can be one of the worst things for your back. If you’re in a sedentary job, you’re sitting for extended periods of time. As you sit in front of the computer, a telephone, or anywhere else, your spine is compressing.

The lower back is one of the most common areas to experience back pain for this very reason. The vertebrae begin to sink down into the lower part of the back because of sitting for so long. This can lead to a lot of pain because the nerves run out of room. This is why you may experience sharp pain and even numbness from time to time.
