Most patients experience little to no discomfort during adjustments. You may hear a popping sound (similar to cracking knuckles), which is simply gas releasing from the joint. Many patients report immediate relief. Our doctors use techniques appropriate for each patient’s comfort level.

You do not have to go to a chiropractor forever. The frequency of your visits will depend on the severity of your condition and your individual response to treatment. Some people may only need to see a chiropractor a few times, while others may need to see them more often. If you are seeing a chiropractor for pain relief, you may start to see improvement after a few visits. However, it may take several weeks or months for your pain to completely resolve. Once your pain is under control, you may be able to reduce the frequency of your visits. If you are seeing a chiropractor for preventive care, you may only need to see them once or twice a year. It is important to talk to us about how often you should come in for treatment. We can help you create a plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Chiropractic is a form of healthcare that focuses on the spine and its relationship to overall health. Chiropractors believe that the spine is the body’s central nervous system and that misalignments in the spine can cause pain, dysfunction, and disease. They use a variety of techniques to adjust the spine and improve its alignment, including spinal manipulation, massage, and exercise therapy. Chiropractic care is generally considered to be safe and effective for the treatment of a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries. However, it is important to talk to your doctor before starting chiropractic care if you have any underlying medical conditions.

Yes, sciatica is one of the most common conditions we treat. Sciatica often results from disc issues or spinal misalignment putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. Chiropractic adjustments can relieve that pressure and reduce radiating leg pain without surgery or medication.

Yes, many headaches and migraines originate from tension, misalignment, or nerve irritation in the neck and upper spine. Chiropractic adjustments can address these underlying causes and provide relief without medication. Many of our Thousand Oaks patients see significant improvement.

Yes, chiropractic care is safe and beneficial during pregnancy. Dr. Brock and Dr. Rooz use gentle techniques adapted for expecting mothers. Many pregnant patients find relief from lower back pain, hip pain, and sciatica. We recommend checking with your OB-GYN as well.

Kids do extremely well under chiropractic care! Because their bodies are young and they haven’t endured years and years of wear and tear on their spines, they see results much quicker than adults. At Advanced Chiropractic Rehabilitation, our doctors have adjusted babies as young as a couple days old, ensuring that their bodies are functioning at their best from the beginning. Chiropractic is gentle, safe, and effective for people of all ages!

CBP stands for Chiropractic BioPhysics, the most research-backed technique in chiropractic. Dr. Nick Brock has completed advanced CBP training, meaning he uses evidence-based methods to correct spinal structure and posture—not just relieve symptoms temporarily. This approach focuses on long-term correction.

Yes, we treat whiplash and other injuries from car accidents. We can document your injuries for insurance claims and work with auto insurance providers. If you’ve been in an accident, it’s important to get evaluated even if you don’t feel pain immediately—symptoms often appear days later.
